Uwarrie Day

Uwharrie National Forest is located in the foothills of central North Carolina USA.

According to legend, the name comes from the name of an Indian tribe indigenous to the area.

These thickly wooded, low-lying ridges are some of the oldest in North America. I have spend many wonderful days hiking and kayaking through these foothills.
